Number of monthly suspensions from FQAS decreasing in 2007-08

The number of suspension notices issued on a monthly basis has followed a similar pattern during the previous two years. However suspension notices issued during 2007-08 have been consistently lower than during 2006-07, when compared on a monthly basis. 

The most commonly occurring types of non-conformance are consistently regarding cattle and sheep welfare codes and/or veterinary medicine records.  LMC distributed the revised, and more user-friendly, medicines record books to FQAS members last year. Cattle and Sheep Welfare Codes can be obtained from your Local DVO or can be downloaded from the publications section of the NIFCC website.

The graph below illustrates the number of non-conformance suspension notices issued to FQAS participants on a monthly basis for the financial years 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09.
