A representative sample of cattle and/or sheep will be checked to ensure they are healthy and thriving.

The inspector will ask about any veterinary operation carried out on farm - disbudding, dehorning and castration of cattle and tail docking and castration of sheep.

Experience and Training Records should be available for all farm staff. Please refer to Page 36 in FQAS Standard.

The farm inspector will ask to see a copy of the Revised Cattle and/or Sheep Welfare Codes. These should be signed and dated by the stockperson.
