Milking Machine
The milking machine must be tested according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and a test certificate must be available (the test certificate must state the BS Standard to which the machine has been tested). 

This document should also include a list of any faults identified.  Service records and records showing the rectification of these faults must also be made available for the inspector.

Electrical Installation
All electrical installations and maintenance work on the holding must be carried out by a competent electrician.

Any other equipment (e.g. calving aids, electrical fencing, scrapers, cattle crush) must be maintained in a condition to avoid injury and stress to cattle.
