Housing And Handling
During the farm inspection, the inspector will inspect housing and handling facilities used for cattle/sheep.
The inspector will check to see that the buildings are free from sharp edges and that floors, ventilation, electrical installations and calving/lambing and isolation pens are well maintained.
Handling/loading facilities for cattle and sheep will be checked at the inspection.
Any animal waste stored on farm should be stored to minimise direct contact with livestock.
A plan detailing Useful Information In Case of Emergency should be available at the time of the inspection.
