Husbandry- Stockmanship And Welfare
A representative sample of cattle and/or sheep will be checked to ensure they are healthy and thriving.
The inspector will ask about any veterinary operation carried out on farm - disbudding, dehorning and castration of cattle and tail docking and castration of sheep.
The farm inspector will ask to see a copy of the Revised Cattle and/or Sheep Welfare Codes. These should be signed and dated by the stockperson.
