Following a Beef Labelling Verification Audit, the report is reviewed by a Certification Officer at NIFCC to ensure that the labelling claims meet the required standards for the Beef Labelling Verification Scheme.

Each member is informed in writing of the outcome of their audit. If non-conformances exist, a time-scale for rectification will be set to allow the member sufficient time to carry out the remedial action.

The certification decision can only be made when all non-conformities have been corrected and the processes and systems for traceability fully confirm the validity of claims made and provide for continuing compliance.

In accordance with the Beef Labelling Scheme, certification for the operator must be achieved within 6 months of the original provisional approval date.
