BRC Global Standard for Food Safety

The BRC Global Standards are a leading global product safety and quality certification programme used throughout the world. This was designed to assist retailers and brand owners to produce food products at consistent safety and quality and assist with ‘due diligence’ defence.

The Standard was designed to provide certification for food manufacturers who implement good manufacturing practises and have supporting quality management systems to produce a safe and legal product meeting their customers quality requirements.

The BRC Standard can be applied to any food processing and packaging operation from primary products such as fresh produce, pack houses and slaughter houses through to processed foods, canneries and high risk ready to eat products. Please refer to the current BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
