The ABM Standard covers abattoirs, cutting and packing plants. These standards complement and complete the assurance chain through farms, transport and abattoir.

The Red Tractor Logo can only be put on meat derived from livestock purchased from as 'Assured Farm' and transported on 'Assured Transport' and slaughtered in an 'Assured Abattoir.'

NIFCC began administrations, inspection and certification against the ABM product standard since March 2009.

The Abattoir, Cutting & Packing plant scheme has three sections:
